About the Job
As a case officer in registration, you primarily work with receiving, registering, and processing applications. The tasks vary in scope and complexity.
You assess whether there are grounds supporting the application, register, report, and archive applications. The work involves ongoing case management in a fast flow through our systems. The tasks include a lot of customer contact via email and phone. You administer various cases, such as compensation dispatches to victims and promissory notes. The cases you handle require legal security, speed, and efficiency.
You will undergo internal training where practice is combined with theory, and you will also have a mentor. You will be part of a section that collectively takes responsibility for results, planning, and workload distribution. The registration department has offices in four locations across the country and collaborates daily on common tasks.
Everyone working at the Enforcement Authority contributes to the fight against crime. Your tasks include identifying and preventing attempts at criminal activity and notifying other authorities of suspected crimes. As a case officer, you may, for example, discover and report incorrect population registrations. This can result in you helping to stop incorrect payments of benefits from other authorities.
The office is located in central Halmstad.

It is desirable that you have current experience in case management work within the Enforcement Authority.
About Us
The Enforcement Authority is a government agency with an important mission. We work closely with people in vulnerable situations. We help those who have not been paid and guide those who need to pay. We provide citizens and businesses with information and good service, enabling them to make long-term and sustainable decisions. This requires knowledge, decisiveness, care, and courage. We contribute to a well-functioning society for the public and businesses – a society where debts and other claims are established and collected in a legally secure manner.
With us, you can expect challenging tasks that are also developmental for you. When you leave work at the end of the day, you can be sure that you have done something that truly counts – both for others and for yourself.
Good to Know
The employment is permanent and begins with a six-month probationary period. You will be employed as a case officer. The Enforcement Authority offers the possibility of remote work by agreement with the employer.
Working in the government means that you follow the government’s values. There are also specific requirements for judgment, security thinking, and compliance with applicable laws. We ask questions during the interview about any previous criminal activity and shortcomings in previous employment. For final candidates, these questions are also posed to references. We also gather information about debts registered with the Enforcement Authority, bankruptcy, and business prohibitions. The information obtained is considered in the overall assessment of your suitability for the position.
Employment with us may involve placement in a security class. A security review with a background check according to the Security Protection Act (2018:585) may therefore be conducted before a decision on employment. For some of our tasks in security class, Swedish citizenship is required.
